The Fugger Kunsthof is a new space for contemporary art, located at Schloss Wellenburg, just outside of Augsburg, on the edge of the Westliche Wälder Forest.
The Kunsthof offers two residency formats, inviting artists to live and work in a unique historical setting surrounded by nature and cultural heritage:
'Traditional' Artist Residency: 1–2 months residency for visual artists in all media, which includes studio, accommodation, and opportunities for public engagement.
Outdoor Sculpture Residency: shorter in duration, this 1-3 week intensive residency is focused on developing a proposal for the Kunsthof’s nascent sculpture park in the surrounding forest.
Between residencies, our space is made available to local artists, encouraging meaningful exchange between visiting and regional practitioners.
